THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF MERCER COUNTY Founded in 1937 by a group of prominent Trenton business owners, the Boys Club of Trenton was formed to provide building-centered recreation programs and services for the children and young people of Trenton. Today the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County provides young people throughout Mercer County, ages 5-18, with social, enrichment and recreational activities.

The Outdoor Equity Alliance Ends 2022 with a Stellar Kwanzaa Celebration

The OEA held its first ever fund raiser on 12-29, Kwanzaa Day 4, at the Grounds For Sculpture. It was an overwhelming success!

This past Saturday (10/5) we kicked off our latest Agrihood Program with a group of great new interns from the Upward Bound Program at MCCC. We played a team-building game where the interns created skits imagining they were farmers living in the year 2522.

GeoGreens is a farm that uses Hydroponics, a process that uses water and nutrients, instead of soil, to produce crops. By employing this method, he can farm indoors – using grow lights and 90% less water than conventional farming techniques.

This month has been a choc full of productive and fruitful meetings, tabling events, and other networking opportunities that have allowed us to continue spreading the word of the OEA. Events we attended included the Rainbow Moon Festival and more.
