Internships

OEA coordinates paid program internships for youth in Mercer County New Jersey to help encourage and advance their engagement with the natural world, and support their pursuit of further academic study.

OEA programs for students include our recently completed 2022 Agrihood Internship program, working to impart lifelong skills that reinforce self-reliance and reduce food insecurity and food deserts for underserved communities.

Our 2022 Careers in Conservation Internship works with various OEA partners to teach subject matter and job-related skills common in environmental careers, e.g., urban forestry; evaluation of tree, soil and water quality; tech for navigating and mapping forests, biodiversity and forest restoration, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities

OEA facilitates project-based volunteer engagement with and among its members. By advertising and promoting volunteer opportunities, OEA and its member partners can help ensure that meaningful outdoor experiences are available that engage diverse audiences and support your organization’s mission.
